Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-08-19

Version: 2.1.0

1. Introduction

Enlighten ("we", "us", "our") provides a gamified self-development mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Enlighten is provided by LINKULAR LTD (Company No. 514710599), registered at Simtat Hayekev 4, Jerusalem 9574762, Israel ("we", "us", the data controller).

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App, or use it in Guest/Preview mode where available, which does not require an account.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all users of the Enlighten App. The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the App is not directed to children. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

We do not collect precise location, health data, financial/payment data, or biometric data. We do not request microphone or camera access for recording; on-device text-to-speech playback does not record you.

4. How We Use Your Information

5. Third-Party Sharing

We share limited data with the following service providers, each acting under their own data processing terms:

We do not sell your personal information for money. See Section 9 for California "sale"/"sharing" disclosures under the CCPA.

6. Signing In With Apple

If you sign in with Apple, Apple may provide you the option to hide your real email address and instead share a private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. We treat this relay address exactly like any other email address for account and communication purposes; email sent to it is forwarded to your real address by Apple according to Apple's own rules. We only receive your name and email from Apple on your first sign-in, as Apple only shares them once.

7. Advertising, Tracking, and Your Choices

On iOS, before we or our advertising partners access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, we (and AdMob) will not use your IDFA for tracking, and you will see non-personalized ads instead. On Android, you can reset or limit ad tracking in your device's Google Settings, and where required we present Google's User Messaging Platform consent flow.

California and other opted-in users can additionally use the in-app "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" toggle in Settings → Privacy, which forces non-personalized ads regardless of ATT/consent status.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account in the App, or, if you no longer have the App installed, at https://api.enlightenapp.co/account-deletion.

Once you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request and keep your account. After 30 days, we permanently erase your personal information and free-text content (including feedback text and attachments, saved answers, device push tokens, and advertising event history), retaining only fully de-identified aggregate statistics that can no longer be linked back to you.

Consent records (IP address, user agent, timestamp) are kept as long as legally required to prove consent was given, then deleted along with the rest of your account data.

9. Your Rights

Under GDPR (European users)

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; receive a portable copy of your data; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. You can exercise access, export, and deletion rights directly from Settings → Privacy in the App.

Under CCPA/CPRA (California users)

You have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request deletion of your personal information; opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information for money, but some advertising data sharing may qualify as a "share" under CPRA — use the in-app Do Not Sell/Share toggle to opt out); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law (as amended by Amendment 13)

If you are in Israel, you have the right to: receive confirmation of whether we hold data about you and to review it; request correction or deletion of data that is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or unlawfully held; and request that data not be used for direct marketing purposes without your consent. We maintain internal data-processing records and security measures consistent with Amendment 13's requirements, and our management is accountable for compliance with this Policy.

To exercise any of the above rights, use the in-app tools in Settings → Privacy, or contact us at the email in Section 13.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls restricting who inside our organization can view user data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. AI-Generated Content

Some lesson, exercise, and course content within the App is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) language models (via Anthropic's Claude API), based on prompts and educational specifications that we author and review. AI-generated course content passes through an internal quality-assurance review before publication.

Using AI to help produce App content is separate from how we handle your personal information: generating course content does not involve sending your account data, usage data, or any other personal information to the AI provider. Your personal information continues to be collected, used, and shared only as described in Sections 3–5 of this Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will require you to re-consent the next time you open the App before you can continue using it. The "Effective Date" above always reflects the latest version.
